Asthma Information

Asthma refers to a respiratory disease, which is caused by the inflammation of the airways of a person. A tube, which transmits the air in and out of your lungs, is known as airways. This is a chronic disorder, which takes place on a regular basis. The inside wall of the airways of an asthma patient will be inflamed all the time.

This inflammation will make the airways receptive and the patient’s reaction to the things (which he or she is allergic to or annoyed of) will be intense. The signs and symptoms of asthma are tight chest, coughing, problems with breathing, etc

Asthma is a disorder, which cannot be cured. However, there are ways in which you can manage and handle this disorder. When this disorder becomes serious, it is known as asthma attack and these attacks can take the lives of some patients.

Visit your doctor on a regular basis if you have asthma. He will tell you how you can control this problem and will also recommend some medicines for your disorder. You should take proper care of this disorder so that you can lead a normal and active life.

CAUSES

What is the cause of asthma? This is a question the answer to which is still not known by anyone. The doctors do not know what caused the inflammation in the airways before anything else. It has been known to most of us that if any one of your family members has this disorder then the likelihood of your developing this disorder will increase. On the other hand, the chances of your getting asthma will increase if you are exposed to diseases, tobacco smoke and other allergens early in your life

There are certain things, which can stimulate an asthma attack in patients such as viral infections, allergens, exercise and irritants. You should know what stimulates an asthma attack in you so that you can control your disorder.

AYURVEDIC REMEDIES

We all know that using ayurvedic remedies are safe and they usually do not cause any side effects. Some of the remedies for asthma are: - Take a teaspoon of honey and half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and mix them properly. Before you go to sleep, have this mixture. - If you are in the early phase of asthma then boil half a cup of milk and add about eight cloves of garlic to it. Drink this at night before you go to sleep. - Wash three or four figs with water and then soak them in water. Have these figs and also drink the water in which they were soaked (on empty stomach).

Many researches have proved that performing yoga asanas can help the asthmas patients. It makes use of breathing techniques and postures to increase the flow of air into and out of the lungs. These yoga asanas helps a patient to control his breathing and to stay composed when an asthma attack strikes.
